Join Shane and Verna of Pillars of Light for an immersive introduction to the sacred Amazonian tradition of Hapé. This class is designed for those who feel called to deepen their personal practice, understand the medicine’s cultural roots, and learn how to hold space with greater safety, intention, and respect.

DAY ONE — FOUNDATIONS

• History and Indigenous traditions
• Sacred tobacco and Amazonian plants
• What Hapé is—and what it is not
• Safety, contraindications, and responsible use
• Ethics, reciprocity, and respectful sourcing
• Preparing yourself and the ceremonial space
• Intention, prayer, grounding, and protection
• The art of self-application
• Integration practices

DAY TWO — PRACTICAL FACILITATION

• Creating and protecting sacred space
• Serving another person with a tepi
• Traditional blow techniques
• Spirit-animal-inspired serving methods
• Holding space before, during, and after serving
• Supporting grounding and integration
• Hands-on practice and guided instruction
• Closing ceremony and certificate of completion
